"Sorry whether or not this was a pain within the a** having the tickets. Did some of you pay over $50 for any one these tickets?" she asked. "They (the record company) were all saying, 'Oh let's do $150 a ticket, ok last one! So-n-so said that…' I said $50.
"I could have (charged) less, but my record label is spending money on this. As you can see with the set, we've exhaust money," she joked, referencing the sparse backdrop.
Before a final song on the night, Hello singer asked her fans to provide a rendition of her hit Hello. Desperate to capture the instant on video, she ran backstage, still holding her microphone, and pleaded with a person to lend her a telephone.
"I take some kind of recording device. Hang on!" she said. "Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! Someone give me a telephone! Oh can occur, there's like 20 f**king people back here, give me a mobile phone!"
Joining in at the end in the song, Adele told the group to thunderous applause, "That was f**king amazing. That would have been a whole f**king song! You are amazing!... That was amazing. Thank you."
She finished her triumphant set together with her 2011 hit Rolling from the Deep, along with an enthusiastic Jennifer Lawrence was seen dancing along towards the song with Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Orlando Bloom.
Celebrities were quick to praise the Brit's surprise gig, with Tom Hanks posting a gushing message on Twitter. "Adele. What a show. What a voice. What a woman. What an artist. What a date! Thank you. Hanx," he captioned a photo in the singer on stage. His wife Rita Wilson later shared a graphic of her and Tom meeting Adele and her boyfriend Simon Konecki on Instagram.com, emailing Adele, "There aren't any words. Only thanks."
"I know you're gonna rock the WILTERN (sic) tonight girl," wrote Lady Gaga, while Josh Groban tweeted, "Finally reached see the transcendent @Adele tonight. That voice live is really a world treasure... !!!!!!"
The singer's world tour starts in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on 1 March.
The winners on the BBC Music Awards 2015 happen to be revealed tonight within a star-studded show on the Genting Arena, Birmingham. Jammed with breathtaking performances from some with the biggest names within the international music scene, five awards received out on the night time.
Adele was crowned British Artist from the Year inside the first of her double honours in the night, as revealed by Rod Stewart. Queen's Brian May announced her second gong: BBC Live Performance with the Year for Adele with the BBC, A BBC One Special.
Adele sent some text of as a result of her fans: "Sorry I'm not there, I'm absolutely gutted but thanks much for my award. Thank you so, a great deal. I hope you're all creating a wonderful night."

Birmingham's own International star, Citizen Khan - aka actor Adil Ray - latched onto the stage to announce Taylor Swift as International Artist from the Year.
Taylor Swift sent this message from Australia where she's on tour: "I wish I could be with you right this moment but I'm on tour in Australia. Thank you a great deal for this BBC Music Award for International Artist with the Year. It was a fantastic highlight on the year to me getting to play Big Weekend in Norwich. Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton presented Jack Garratt in reference to his BBC Music Introducing Artist with the Year Award before his electrifying performance of Worry.
The fifth and final award with the evening was presented by Radio 1's Greg James and Radio 2's Jo Whiley to Hozier whose Take Me To Church was crowned by public vote as Song with the Year.
Wrapping in the event, hosts Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton also announced that this BBC Music Awards will go back to Birmingham's Genting Arena next December for your 2016 BBC Music Awards.

Stereophonics performed C'est La Vie prior to BBC Concert Orchestra saluted Frank Sinatra’s 100th centenary with New York New York. Hozier was bulimia with Take Me To Church, then Little Mix with Black Magic, and then OMI with Cheerleader. Jess Glynne sang Hold My Hand and James Bay sang Hold Back the River. Then Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott connected with The Shires for just a Country feast and sang The Austerity of Love, Nashville Grey Skies and Leaving over a Jet Plane. Introducing Artist with the Year, Jack Garratt sang Worry and Years and Years sang King. Faithless sang Insomnia and Rod Stewart had everyone dancing using a grand finale of Please and Sailing.
